Suzanne Frye, DC
The doctor who reads your films and tells you the truth about your spine.
At most clinics you never meet the person deciding whether a treatment can help you. Here you do. Dr. Suzanne Frye examines you, reads your own imaging herself, and gives you a straight answer — including “no” when the answer is no.
Who treats you
Dr. Frye is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic and the clinician behind Antelope Valley Disc Center in Lancaster, CA. She has delivered non-surgical spinal decompression on the DRX9000 since 2005 — from the year the practice built its care around the device, not as something added later. Two decades of doing one thing, on one population, in one valley.
She is not a general back-pain clinic that also owns a decompression table. Decompression of the disc is the focus of the practice, and she has spent twenty years learning who it helps and who it doesn’t.
Authority that comes from the data, not the pitch
Most clinics advertising decompression borrow a “Mayo” or “Harvard” line and quote a success rate no one can trace. Dr. Frye did the opposite. She ran a review of 1,377 patient charts spanning 2005 to 2026 — her own patients, her own device, her own results — and published what they showed, floor included.
Among patients who completed a full 12-to-24-session course and started with meaningful pain, 62% had a clinically meaningful drop in pain (95% CI 58–67%, n=426). Counting every patient who ever started a course — including everyone who quit early or whose records were incomplete — as a failure, the honest worst-case floor is 34% (n=975). Both numbers are hers, and both are on the page.
That is what E-E-A-T looks like when it’s real: named clinician, first-hand experience, primary data, and the discipline to publish the number that doesn’t flatter.
She reads your films herself — and an MRI is not required
You do not need to arrive with an MRI. Dr. Frye takes and reads your X-rays herself and examines you in person; imaging you already have is reviewed, but the decision to treat rests on what she sees and finds, not on a scan you’re told to go pay for first.
The honest screen
The core of how she works: she won’t take your case unless she’s confident decompression can help you. She turns away cases she doesn’t believe the treatment fits — post-fusion spines, for instance, respond least well in her own data and she says so up front. Fusion is harder, not hopeless, and she’ll tell you which one you are.
